I Support Phil Robertson

If you haven't heard, Phil Robertson has been suspended from his show "Duck Dynasty" on A&E for an opinion he gave in a GQ interview about homosexuals. GQ has taken quotes out of the interview to launch an anti-Christian war. If you actually read the whole interview, Robertson talks about gays right before he talks about sin. You can clearly tell that Phil Robertson is anti-sin NOT anti-gay. To start with, he did not single out homosexual behavior; he listed over a half-dozen sins, including adultery, greed, bestiality, drunkenness, idolatry, etc. Phil Robertson is simply anti-sin, believes all should love one another, and believes we can all be saved through the grace of Jesus Christ.
Only the media could be offended by that. He simply stated his beliefs and should not have been criticized for doing this. He was illustrating what the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:8-10, "No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren! Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." I stand by Phil and the Duck Dynasty crew 10000000000%.

The Importance of Friends

During life there are many struggles and obstacles that we have to go through. That's why it is wonderful to have friends in your life! I recently realized after going through a bad fight with a close friend that you can't worry about who doesn't like you and you can't worry about what people think of you. You just have to find the right friends that appreciate you and make you happy. You've heard the phrase, "do what makes you happy." Well, that's true, you do need to do what makes you happy. But, you can't always just please yourself. Remember that your God in Heaven is first in your life. So, instead of "do what makes you happy", do what makes God happy. If you do what God tells you, it will make you happy- happy, happy, happy, Jack! After all, the Bible says, "If God is for us, no one can be against us." (Romans 8:31)

DO WHAT MAKES GOD HAPPY. :)

And then you'll have plenty of friends to go with you in this crazy journey called life!

Proud to call these 2 crazies my best friends!

"I believe in angels, the kind that Heaven sends. I'm surrounded by so many- and I call them my best friends." ♥

Daniel Kimbrough

On March 19, 2013, a man at my church with 3 young children had a severe stroke. He is having to relearn everything. This man was once my bible class teacher and it was one of the most interesting classes I've been a part of. He was a very intelligent man with a great personality! He loved to lead singing and praise God with all his being. He is currently doing very well and has left Shepherd's Center in Atlanta to come back home to Alabama. He can understand a lot of what you say and can say a few words! I am so proud of Daniel Kimbrough!! Him and his family are a blessing and he will forever be a hero to me!!! ♥

We had a benefit for him and his family on June 15th, and we raised over $30,000!

Two very special friends: Heidi and Mahayla ♥
